State Accused of Plot to Arrest Governor Natembeya on Monday – Kalonzo Sounds Alarm
Speaking in Machakos on Sunday, Kalonzo revealed that the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has already secured a search warrant.
“Governor Natembeya is threatened as we speak,” Kalonzo said.
“Tomorrow, they will search his house, arrest him, then release him just to embarrass him.”
EACC Accused of Being Used to Intimidate
“If you don’t toe the line of those in high leadership, they’ll send EACC after you,” he warned.
“The commission should not be used to silence leaders.”
He insisted the planned arrest is a calculated move meant to tarnish Natembeya’s name and intimidate his supporters.
DAP-K Leader Wamalwa to Block Arrest
Kalonzo assured the public that DAP-K party leader Eugene Wamalwa will do everything possible to stop the arrest.
“Wamalwa is aware, and he won’t allow this injustice to happen,” he declared.
Political Storm Brewing
Governor Natembeya has already faced fierce opposition in recent weeks.

“Natembeya should be impeached for stoking tribal animosity, division, and corruption,” Cherargei said.
“He has violated several articles of the Constitution.”
However, the governor hit back, dismissing Cherargei’s attacks as misplaced political interference.
“Why is a Nandi senator meddling in Trans Nzoia’s affairs?” Natembeya asked.
“Let him fix issues in his own county.”
MP Salasya Also Targeted?
In a fiery twist, Kalonzo linked the recent arrest of MP Peter Salasya to a larger scheme to silence outspoken leaders.
Salasya, who recently declared his presidential bid, was arrested by DCI officers after addressing a rally in Isiolo.
“They’ve locked Salasya at Central Police Station without any charge,” Kalonzo lamented.
“It’s a crackdown on freedom of speech.”
Kenya’s Democracy in Question?
Kalonzo concluded by urging Kenyans to resist political intimidation and defend their constitutional rights.

“This isn’t about one leader. It’s about protecting democracy,” he said.
As Monday approaches, all eyes are on Trans Nzoia. Will the alleged arrest unfold?
