“Marriage Scares Me”: Kabinga Jr. Opens Up on Love and Life
In a candid interview on Condos Cigars Conversation hosted by Noriega Donself, Kabinga Jr., who has gained significant attention as Coast singer Brown Mauzo’s girlfriend, opened up about her reservations toward marriage. Known for her beauty and style and an impressive Instagram following of over 117,000, Kabinga addressed some pressing questions surrounding her relationship and future with Mauzo.
“Marriage scares me,” she admitted early in the interview, revealing her hesitation to fully embrace settling down. When pressed about her relationship status, she responded with humour, “Oh well, they haven’t until they have,” alluding to the fact that Mauzo has yet to make a formal proposal.
Their conversation took an interesting turn when Noriega mentioned the music video shoot for Mauzo’s song, “Ndagukunda,” revealing how several prominent politicians approached him with lucrative offers to connect with her. Kabinga laughed, saying, “I do get approached all the time,” adding that she is very selective about who she allows into her circle.
Kabinga’s reluctance toward marriage is nuanced and genuine. She explained that while she deeply values her relationship with Mauzo—so much so that the two even have matching tattoos—she remains cautious. “Honestly, it was just a random thing I did,” she said nonchalantly about their shared tattoo, before affectionately adding, “He’s a bad influence.”
As the topic shifted back to marriage, Noriega inquired, “What does marriage mean to you?” Kabinga thoughtfully replied, “It’s a big commitment. After you’re in, you have to deal with the prospect of having children and everything. I’m just afraid of it.” When Noriega asked if she was ready, Kabinga humorously retorted, “Who said I’m ready?” adding, “If he pops the question right now? I’ll take the ring and keep it. If it’s nice, just the ring.”
For now, Kabinga Jr. is enjoying her relationship with Mauzo, embracing life on her terms while continuing to captivate her followers with her travel, beauty, and lifestyle posts.
