“We, the young people, have the numbers. Big numbers that can outmatch any other voting bloc. And yet, we continue to sit back and watch events unfold without taking decisive action,” Njiraini stated passionately.
“Interestingly, they have already absorbed two brilliant Gen Zs, one in the ODM camp and the other under the former deputy president’s camp,” he observed.
Iain Njiraini urges the youth to take centre stage in making political decisions in the country.
Rather than being absorbed into old systems, Njiraini believes Gen Z can create a political force of their own. He urged young people to reject passive participation and instead demand meaningful change.
“The youths still have a chance to push for meaningful change and demand accountability without necessarily joining the existing coalitions. We have the power to form our own political movement, one that includes both young and experienced leaders who share our vision for the country,” he asserted.
With only a few years left before the 2027 elections, he urged young Kenyans to rethink their strategy. The time for waiting is over. The youth must organize, strategize, and take action before it’s too late.
“If we do not act now, we will be reduced to mere spectators in 2027, watching yet another two-horse race,” he warned.
