The Southern Bypass is the main road affected. It will be closed from the Ole Sereni Interchange on Mombasa Road to Kikuyu Town.
“Use Alternative Routes” — Police Advise Motorists
To ease movement, police have provided alternative routes. From Mombasa Road to Kikuyu, motorists should use Uhuru Highway into Waiyaki Way, then join the Southern Bypass at Gitaru Interchange.
Those traveling from Dagoretti South to Kikuyu should use Dagoretti Road. Meanwhile, motorists moving between Dagoretti South and Lang’ata are advised to use Lang’ata Road through Karen.
“All motorists are urged to be patient, strictly adhere to traffic rules and regulations, and follow the guidance of officers stationed along the affected routes,” the statement added. “Stern action will be taken against anyone found violating traffic rules.”
