Drama Unfolds as Morara Kebaso Clashes with UDA Politician on Live TV
Nairobi – Tension erupted at K24 TV studios on Friday, December 6, when presidential hopeful Morara Kebaso clashed with former ward representative Ken Ondiek during a live broadcast.
Morara, a panellist on the morning program, found himself at odds with Ondiek, a former Homa Bay County MCA. The heated exchange began when Ondiek criticized Morara for allegedly using stalled government projects to fuel his presidential ambitions. Ondiek dismissed Morara’s research on uncompleted projects, suggesting it was inadequate and politically motivated.
“Can you vie and be elected or rejected anywhere? That is when you will understand elective politics,” Ondiek stated, questioning Morara’s credibility.
Morara, visibly irked, retaliated by belittling Ondiek’s former position as an MCA. “I am running for president. I cannot be arguing with a former MCA. This is so embarrassing,” he responded, drawing gasps from viewers.
Morara, who intends to challenge President William Ruto in 2027 under the INJECT Party ticket, stood his ground despite Ondiek’s criticisms. This clash is not the first time the activist-turned-presidential aspirant has engaged in heated confrontations on live television.

Morara vs. Hussein Mohamed: A Familiar Drama
In August, Morara faced off with State House spokesperson Hussein Mohamed during a Citizen TV interview. The debate centered on Morara’s claims about government interference in his civic activism.
Morara alleged that influential state operatives offered him lucrative positions to silence his critique of stalled projects. He even claimed President William Ruto personally called him to propose a state job.
Hussein, however, challenged Morara to prove these claims. “You need to substantiate that the president ever phoned you,” Hussein demanded. Morara insisted on discussing broader issues, promising to retrieve call records from his service provider.
Government spokesperson Isaac Mwaura later refuted Morara’s claims, denying any structured meetings or phone conversations with the activist.
As the 2027 elections approach, Morara’s confrontational style and bold assertions continue to spark debate across the political spectrum.
