Violence soon erupted, leading to the destruction of property worth an unknown amount. Several people sustained injuries in the chaos.

Looting and Roadblocks

As the protests escalated, some individuals took advantage of the situation, looting from unsuspecting locals.

Enraged residents blocked roads, causing a major traffic jam in the area. They accused the Kenya Kwanza government of ignoring their grievances.

“They have taken us for granted for too long!” one protester shouted.
