“We have seen how a certain CS is engaging in underhand tactics to weaken our leadership. We will not sit back and watch!” Barasa declared.
Webuye East MP Martin Wanyonyi echoed similar sentiments, accusing the CS of fueling divisions within the Western region to advance selfish interests.
“The people of Bungoma deserve development, not political fights. We want leaders to focus on service delivery, not personal battles,” Wanyonyi emphasized.

Sirisia MP John Waluke called on President William Ruto to intervene, warning that unchecked interference could create tension.
“We respect the president, but we will not allow anyone to use government positions to divide our people. Let leaders serve Kenyans without favoritism,” Waluke insisted.
Governor Barasa Dragged Into the Feud
The controversy also dragged Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa into the fray, with claims that the CS had been working against his administration.
“We know what is happening behind the scenes. Some individuals want to block development by frustrating Governor Barasa,” said an anonymous MP.
