Police Chase Away Salasya During Nandi County Tour
The dramatic scene, caught on camera, showed a government Land Cruiser with sirens blaring, tailing Salasya’s convoy near KMTC Mosoriot campus.
Salasya confirmed the incident through a bold social media statement that ignited fury and concern across the political divide.
“So while Farouk was busy turning Malava into a circus ring, forcing grown men to dance before him like schoolchildren, I was being chased by a government Land Cruiser in Nandi County like a wanted offender. Yes, me. A leader. A citizen. In my own country,” he wrote.
Salasya Slams State Intimidation
Clearly furious, Salasya didn’t hold back. He lashed out at President Ruto’s Personal Assistant, Farouk Kibet, blaming him for the hostility he faced in the president’s backyard.

“What nonsense is this? What insecurity is this? What fear is eating you up?” he asked angrily.
Salasya questioned the motives behind the chase, suggesting it reflected a government paranoid over simple citizen engagement.
“Just because someone moves around, talks to people, and listens to wananchi, you panic like a robber caught in daylight?”
“Wasting Resources Chasing Shadows”
The MP ridiculed the use of state resources during the chaotic encounter.
He questioned why fuel, police drivers, and security officers were deployed to trail him instead of focusing on public service.
“Chasing shadows while Kenyans sleep hungry? That’s where our taxes go?” he asked bitterly.
Defiance Amid Intimidation
Despite the frightening moment, Salasya vowed to continue his political mission.
He promised to return to Nandi and even extend his tour to Uasin Gishu and beyond.
“I will return to Nandi County. I will go to Uasin Gishu. I will walk freely across this republic because Kenya is not a private estate. I don’t need permission to be a Kenyan,” he boldly declared.
Public Reactions Mixed but Loud
Kenyans online expressed mixed feelings. Some praised his courage. Others urged caution.

Still, the video of the chase sparked serious questions: Is political intimidation on the rise again?
Whatever the truth, one thing is clear — Salasya is not backing down.
