On Friday, July 11, the Loreto Limuru Alumni Association released a disturbing notice. It highlighted accusations of sexual grooming and abuse by five staff members at the national girls’ school.
On Thursday, July 10, the situation intensified. Former students gathered outside the school in a peaceful protest. Despite heavy police presence, they stood firm.
“We wrote to TSC earlier. They ignored us. Now we are demanding action,” one protester declared.
“That teacher is going to be punished and interdicted. We have talked to TSC and all other stakeholders to ensure that he is arrested,” Bitok said while addressing reporters.
These events come just days after former Alliance Girls students revealed similar trauma. The public is now demanding a larger probe into abuse in elite girls’ schools.
