DCI Exposes Juja MP’s Fake Abduction Plot: “He Was Never Kidnapped”
In a dramatic turn of events, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has exposed Juja MP George Koimburi for staging his own abduction.
DCI boss Mohamed Amin blasted the MP for using such a serious issue to gain political mileage, calling the stunt “inconceivable.”
“It is quite, quite inconceivable for an Honourable Member of Parliament to go to that extent of stage-managing his abduction,” Amin said.
Missing Over the Weekend, ‘Found’ in a Coffee Farm
Koimburi had reportedly gone missing over the weekend. On Monday morning, May 26, he resurfaced—supposedly dumped in a coffee plantation in Juja.
Immediately, public panic erupted. Some accused the police of abducting the MP. Social media lit up with theories, anger, and fear.
But all this while, detectives were digging for the truth.
The Real Story Unfolds
By Wednesday, May 28, the truth emerged.
Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja confirmed that Koimburi staged the entire incident. He worked closely with his associates to fabricate evidence and stir sympathy.
“We were able to account for all his movements from the time he attended church up to where he slept that night,” Amin revealed.
The detectives traced him to a hotel, identified the exact room, and confirmed he never suffered injuries.

“We even identified the hotel and the room number where he slept,” added Amin.
MP Refuses to Cooperate
Even more suspiciously, the MP refused to be interviewed by detectives.
“The investigating team was denied access to interview the Honourable Member, who we very much believe did not suffer any injuries,” Amin stated.
He sarcastically noted that Koimburi might just be “enjoying his five-course meal” at the hospital instead of recovering from a fake ordeal.
DCI Condemns Politicisation of Security
Amin condemned the MP’s actions, saying they created unnecessary fear and tension in the country.
“Creating a lot of tension and fear in the country… that is unfortunate,” he said.
The DCI vowed to share further details with Koimburi directly as investigations proceed.

What’s Next for Koimburi?
As the public digests this revelation, pressure mounts on Koimburi to come clean. Legal consequences could follow, and Kenyans are demanding accountability.
