Haelewi Chochote!’ Ruto’s Scathing Rebuke of Former Deputy Gachagua

Luanda, Vihiga County – President William Ruto’s visit to Vihiga on Wednesday, January 22, took an unexpected turn as he launched a fiery verbal attack on his former deputy, Rigathi Gachagua. Speaking during a public gathering in Luanda, Ruto did not mince words, accusing Gachagua of incompetence, corruption, and divisive politics.

Ruto Slams Gachagua’s Leadership

Ruto blamed Gachagua for advancing rhetoric that divides Kenyans instead of promoting unity and progress. In a striking statement, the president said:

“He is advancing divisive politics. They should look for a transformative agenda. These Kenyans cannot buy politics of division and hate.”

The president expressed frustration, accusing Gachagua of failing to deliver during his tenure due to incompetence and lack of vision.

Impeachment Due to Corruption and Failure

President Ruto revealed that Gachagua was impeached because of corruption and incompetence. He claimed that Gachagua lacked the skills necessary to govern effectively.

“We gave them work, but because of incompetence, they do not understand, they are deceptive and corrupt, and their plan failed,” Ruto declared.

The crowd listened intently as Ruto emphasized his administration’s zero-tolerance policy for corruption and tribal divisions.

Call for Unity and Progress

Ruto urged Kenyans to reject divisive leaders and embrace those with transformative agendas. He reiterated that Kenya must move forward as a united nation.

“We want to tell them they will continue failing because Kenya has no space for the corrupt and incompetent people and those dividing the country on tribal lines,” Ruto affirmed, drawing applause from the crowd.

Mixed Reactions to Ruto’s Remarks

Ruto’s sharp criticism sparked a range of reactions among the audience. While some applauded his boldness, others remained skeptical about his motives. Political analysts argue that the president’s remarks could deepen rifts within the political class.

A Strong Stand Against Divisive Politics

The president’s fiery remarks underscore his commitment to fighting corruption and uniting Kenyans. However, critics suggest the attack could further polarize an already divided political landscape.
