Horror in Huruma: Man Arrested Carrying Wife’s Thorax in Gruesome Murder Case
Nairobi, Kenya — A man in Huruma, Nairobi, has been arrested after being found with a human thorax believed to belong to his 19-year-old wife. This shocking discovery has left residents in disbelief and sparked intense investigations by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
A Suspicious Morning Encounter
Police officers on patrol early Tuesday morning stopped the man, who was carrying a suspicious bag at around 5 a.m. Upon inspection, they discovered the thorax of a human female stashed inside a cement bag.
The man confessed that the body parts belonged to his wife, who had been missing for several days.
Gruesome Discovery at the Suspect’s Home
Following the arrest, the suspect led detectives to his residence in Huruma. A search of the single-roomed house revealed other dismembered body parts, including a head with the eyes gouged out. The scene was horrific, with the floor stained with blood and a sharp knife found soaking in a basin of water.
Clothes believed to belong to the deceased were also soaked in blood, further evidence of the brutal crime. However, police noted that the left hand, waist, hip area, and one upper thigh were missing, adding to the chilling mystery.

Detectives from the Starehe DCI have launched an investigation to recover the missing body parts and establish the motive behind the murder. The DCI has not ruled out occultism, citing it as a possible cause, as similar cases have been linked to ritualistic practices.
Nairobi’s regional head of DCI assured the public of a thorough investigation. “We are committed to uncovering the truth and ensuring justice for the victim,” he said.

Locals in Huruma expressed shock and sorrow over the gruesome act. Some revealed the victim had been missing for days, though no official report had been made to the police.
