With this victory, she now holds five World Championship golds and two silvers—making her the most decorated Kenyan athlete in championship history.
Kenyan Women Dominate the Track
Kipyegon wasn’t alone in her brilliance. Dorcus Ewoi delivered a stunning performance, securing silver with a time of 3:54.92. Nelly Chepchirchir, despite a valiant effort, finished fourth after being edged out by Australia’s Jessica Hull.
“We fought hard. It’s an honour to share the podium with Faith,” Ewoi said, beaming with pride.
