US to Revoke Visas, Deport Foreigners Celebrating Assassinations—Rubio Issues Stern Warning

The United States government has announced sweeping visa restrictions targeting foreigners who celebrate assassinations online. Secretary of State Marco Rubio made the announcement following the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk in Utah on September 10.

“Well, it isn’t just about Charlie Kirk,” Rubio said during a press briefing. “If you’re a foreigner and you’re out there celebrating the assassination of someone who was speaking somewhere, I mean, we don’t want you in the country.”

Social Media Posts Under Scrutiny

Rubio emphasized that the US is closely monitoring social media platforms. Posts glorifying violence or celebrating killings could lead to visa revocation or denial.

“Why would we want to give a visa to someone who thinks it’s good that someone was murdered in the public square?” he asked. “That’s just common sense to me.”

He confirmed that visa cancellations have already begun. Some individuals have had their visas revoked, while others are being denied entry altogether.

“We’ve revoked the visas of people,” Rubio stated. “We’ve most certainly been denying visas.”

Kenyans Among Those at Risk

Kenyans studying, working, or planning to travel to the US are now at risk. Even sharing celebratory posts from within Kenya could trigger consequences.

“You’re out there celebrating the assassination in cold blood of someone, and then you want to come in,” Rubio said. “Why would we want anybody like that in our country, as a tourist, as anything? We don’t want them here.”

This warning has sent shockwaves through online communities. Many fear that even a single post could jeopardize years of planning, education, or employment abroad.

Investigation Into Kirk’s Death Ongoing

Meanwhile, US authorities continue to investigate Kirk’s assassination. DNA and forensic evidence have linked a suspect to the scene. Police are working to determine motive and identify any accomplices.

Rubio’s remarks come amid growing calls for stricter immigration policies and digital accountability. The US government insists that glorifying violence undermines public safety and national values.

“We must draw a line,” Rubio concluded. “Celebrating murder is not freedom—it’s a threat.”

As the crackdown intensifies, foreign nationals are urged to exercise caution online. The consequences, as Rubio warned, could be swift and irreversible.
