“Stop the Drama”: MP Wamumbi Blames Gachagua Over Abductions at Nairobi Hotel
Nairobi—Mathira MP Eric Wamumbi has unleashed sharp accusations against Olive Gardens Hotel. The hotel, tied to Rigathi Gachagua, faces claims of hosting secret meetings to plan fake abductions.
Bold Accusations Rock Nairobi
In a fiery letter dated January 3, Wamumbi didn’t hold back. He alleged the Nairobi-based hotel was ground zero for shady dealings. According to him, faceless individuals meet there to orchestrate abductions meant to create panic.
“I request investigations into Olive Gardens Hotel. People are holding meetings there to plan fake abductions to incite the public,” Wamumbi wrote.
The letter ignited outrage among citizens, already troubled by increasing abduction cases.
A Direct Shot at Gachagua
Wamumbi turned his criticism directly toward Gachagua, urging him to intervene. His words were blunt and unapologetic.
“Release the children held at Olive Gardens Hotel and stop this drama! Those of us from your village know your theatrics. Stop causing unnecessary suffering for political reasons,” he declared
His statement stirred debate. Critics called it a personal vendetta, while others saw it as a bold move to expose hidden truths.
Families Rejoice, but Questions Remain
Amid the uproar, four families celebrated the return of their missing children. The kids, who disappeared before Christmas, had shared AI-generated images of President William Ruto before vanishing.
Billy Mwangi, one of the abducted children, was joyfully reunited with his family. While his safe return offered hope, it left lingering questions about the incident’s roots.
Police Respond to Mounting Pressure
The police quickly responded to the public outcry. They assured citizens of a thorough investigation and promised action against the culprits.
Activist Bernard Kavuli, who was also abducted, recorded a statement with authorities. A senior officer pledged, “We will dig deep and ensure justice is served.”
But critics argue the police are moving too slowly, fueling suspicions of high-level involvement.
Where’s the Truth?
The accusations have put Olive Gardens Hotel under a glaring spotlight. Wamumbi’s bold claims have added pressure on Gachagua to address the situation. However, his critics believe his motives are political, not moral.

With families desperate for answers and justice hanging in the balance, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Will the investigations uncover a hidden conspiracy, or is this just another political chess game?
Criticism
Wamumbi’s accusations raise eyebrows. While his claims sound dramatic, they lack concrete evidence. Why call out Gachagua without presenting solid proof? His fiery language might gain attention, but it risks undermining his credibility.
The police also deserve criticism. Their promises of thorough investigations sound rehearsed. Citizens deserve action, not repeated assurances.
