Police Launch Manhunt
Luanda Sub-County Police Commander Richard Siele confirmed that a manhunt had begun for the runaway officer. He warned that the suspect is armed and dangerous.
“The residents told us that around 8 p.m. or 9 p.m. they heard gunshots. Later, around 10 p.m., they found the officer lying dead with a gunshot wound to the head,” Siele said.
He explained that investigators recovered two rifles at the scene.
“We found both guns: that of the one who made the call and that of the deceased. As the investigation continued, it became clear that the officer did not kill himself but was killed. We suspect his colleague, who has since disappeared,” the commander added.
Suspicious Circumstances
Initially, the suspect reported that Samoei had taken his own life. However, inconsistencies in his account quickly raised red flags.
