Nairobi Woman Finds Human Remains in Fridge After Accepting Client’s Offer: “I Knew Something Was Wrong”
What began as a painful love story has turned into one of Nairobi’s most horrifying survival tales.
Anne Wanjiru, a young mother, recently shared how love, poverty, and desperation led her to a shocking discovery—human remains in a client’s fridge.

Speaking to Citizen TV, Wanjiru opened up:
“I always believed him, even when he was once arrested for stealing,” she said.
“He told me it was a case of mistaken identity.”
“I only discovered the truth when he was shot dead while stealing someone’s phone near the Pangani area,” she revealed.
At the time, she was seven months pregnant.
Life Spirals After Husband’s Death
Left jobless and pregnant, Wanjiru moved in with her mother-in-law. One month later, she gave birth to her daughter.
Overwhelmed, she returned to her parents’ home with her baby.
“I couldn’t afford even diapers. I tried washing clothes for pay, but it wasn’t enough.”
Her friend later introduced her to sex work in Nairobi nightclubs.
“It wasn’t easy. I had to stop breastfeeding my baby at just three months,” she admitted.
“Some clients paid, others didn’t.”
Still, she kept going—for her daughter’s sake.
The Fridge of Terror
One night, a wealthy client offered her a large sum to visit his home. She accepted.
“His house was isolated. When I arrived, he took my phone immediately.”
He served her water from the fridge. She drank. Instantly, she felt dizzy.
“I knew something was wrong,” Wanjiru said.
He went to shower and asked her to prepare food. When she opened the fridge, her heart sank.
“The body parts looked like those of a child. He had packed them neatly inside the fridge.”
Frozen with fear, she couldn’t run. The man locked her in for the night.
She Survived—But Still Carries the Fear
In the morning, he released her.
“He gave me KSh 3,000 and let me go.”
Though alive, Wanjiru says that moment still haunts her. She hasn’t reported the incident, fearing retaliation.
