MP Caleb Amisi Sparks Political Storm, Urges Raila to Quit Ruto’s Broad-Based Government
Saboti MP Caleb Amisi has ignited a fresh political debate. In a passionate Friday post, he boldly urged ODM party leader Raila Odinga to withdraw from President Ruto’s broad-based government. According to Amisi, Kenya is on the brink and urgently needs “a national renaissance.”
“Dear Baba, Raila Odinga, my party leader of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), you know my respect for you is unmatched.”

“It is premised on the reasons that you have a history of fighting for a lot that Kenya enjoys today.”
Amisi didn’t stop there. He demanded that all ODM leaders serving in the current administration step down.
“The best way to hold intergenerational dialogue is to remove the remaining, adamant, excited ODM brigade from the government and join us to remove Kasongo.”
The name “Kasongo” has recently become a coded term among opposition voices referring to President Ruto.
Amisi passionately argued that Ruto has plunged Kenya into a state of despair.

ODM’s internal divisions have widened, especially over the party’s growing closeness to the Kenya Kwanza regime. Many now see the alliance as betrayal.
