Kithure Kindiki Says Govt to Employ Some of Pastors’ Children: “We’ll Support You”
Speaking on Tuesday, April 15, during the Africa Revival Agenda Conference at KICC, Kindiki shared a deeply personal message. He emphasized the Kenya Kwanza government’s commitment to recognizing and supporting faith leaders and their families.
“We want to assure you through this fellowship that we will support some of you who have children or people you’d like us to help access opportunities to serve the country in various capacities,” Kindiki said, drawing emotional applause from the audience.
A Promise Rooted in Experience
Kindiki, who grew up in a pastoral home, shared his own story to explain the motivation behind this initiative.
He acknowledged that many spiritual leaders dedicate their lives to ministry, often at the expense of personal and family needs.
“Many men and women of God have no time to look after themselves and their children,” he said, his voice filled with sincerity.
Church and State: A Sacred Partnership
Although the Constitution separates church and state, Kindiki made it clear that cooperation between the two remains vital.
“The Kenya Kwanza Administration deeply respects the church and all faith groups,” he stated. “We will go out of our way to ensure mutually beneficial cooperation and relationship between the Government, on the one hand, and faith groups, civil society, academia and critical segments of society, on the other hand.”
This, he noted, is not a handout—but an acknowledgment of the critical role religious leaders play in nation-building.
Hope and Opportunity for Many
With this announcement, many religious families who have long felt unseen can now look to the future with hope. The plan promises not just jobs—but dignity, recognition, and a chance to serve the nation their parents prayed for daily.

The move also signals a shift in how government values grassroots influence—acknowledging that leadership starts not just in parliament, but also in the pulpit.
