Kithure Kindiki Reacts Cautiously After Matiang’i’s Surprise Visit to Rigathi Gachagua

Nyeri – Political temperatures soared on Sunday after former Interior CS Fred Matiang’i made a surprise visit to Rigathi Gachagua’s home.

Matiang’i appeared unexpectedly at the high-stakes political meeting in Wamunyoro, Nyeri, stunning many who believed he had opted out. His entrance sparked cheers and applause from leaders and residents gathered at the event.

Matiang’i Declares Readiness to Serve

In his fiery speech, Matiang’i left no doubt about his political ambitions. He passionately called for urgent reforms to rebuild trust in government.

“There is no day I have never been serious,” Matiang’i declared.
“I am ready to fight for this country. We need to clean our country so that people can trust the government again. What we are going through is temporary; we must not turn against each other but focus on fixing the nation.”

The crowd erupted in approval, welcoming his bold stance.

Gachagua: United for Kenya’s Future

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua also struck a powerful tone. He stressed that the struggle for Kenya’s future demanded sacrifice and unity.

“Our resolve for a better Kenya remains unmatched,” Gachagua stated.
“We must make sacrifices beyond personal ambition for the sake of our children.”

Gachagua celebrated the gathering’s diverse leadership, symbolizing a broader national unity.

“The plan to divide Mt. Kenya has collapsed,” he said confidently.
“Kalonzo is here with Wiper, Eugene Wamalwa represents the Mulembe nation, Senator Seki Lenku from the Maa community, and Matiang’i from the Omugusii. The mountain stands united.”

Kindiki’s Vague Response

After the meeting, Deputy President Kithure Kindiki broke his silence. His remarks, however, left more questions than answers.

“The contest is now clearly defined,” Kindiki said, hinting at intense political battles ahead of 2027.

His brief statement sparked fierce reactions online, where Kenyans debated the looming showdown.

Kenyans React Passionately

Supporters of Kenya Kwanza stood firm behind Kindiki and President Ruto. Mithamo Muchiri wrote:

“100% Prof. We’re firm behind H.E. William Ruto and DP H.E. Kithure Kindiki. We shall prove the hecklers wrong.”

Others dismissed the government’s chances. Martha W Mwangi scoffed:

“What contest? This is not a contest. You people will leave office as early as 8 a.m. come election day.”

Bryan Onyango boldly added:

“You cannot win a second term even with rigging because the gap will be five million plus.”

Some offered stark political advice. Joel Mutuma Buria warned:

“You will be nowhere in the picture, prof. Sadly, with no numbers behind you, President William Ruto will have to shift base. Read the signs and realign your political future.”

Meanwhile, Rotich Edwin stood his ground, defending Kindiki:

“Kithure Kindiki stay focused on delivering for the Kenyan people. The nation will rally behind you come 2027. The opposition, devoid of vision, has nowhere meaningful to turn.”
