For Infantino, this is his first-ever visit to Kenya, making the moment even more historic.

Kenya in the Global Spotlight

The two leaders arrived ahead of the African Nations Championship (CHAN 2024) final at Kasarani Stadium.

FKF President Hussein Mohammed could not hide his excitement.

“On behalf of the Kenyan football family, I warmly welcome FIFA President Gianni Infantino to Kenya for the first time,” he said.

“Kenya has captured the hearts of the world with our successful hosting of this tournament. Today we celebrate that achievement together.”

The final will kick off at 6 pm, with thousands of fans expected to pack the stadium.

High-Level Guests Expected

The match has already drawn global attention. Madagascar President Andry Rajoelina is expected to attend alongside senior government leaders from Uganda and Tanzania.

The grand final promises fireworks as two-time champions Morocco face a determined Madagascar side.

Fans across Africa are already buzzing about the showdown. Both teams have shown resilience, and many believe the match will be unforgettable.

Before the clash, the closing ceremony will entertain fans from 2 pm.

Star performers Zuchu, Eddy Kenzo, and Kenya’s own Savara are set to light up the stage.

Historic Moment for Kenya

Kenya’s co-hosting journey has lasted a month and has placed the country in the limelight.

The successful organization has sparked renewed calls for Kenya to bid for even bigger tournaments in the future.
