Medical Report Confirms Albert Ojwang Was Dead on Arrival — Shocking Details Emerge
A disturbing medical report from Mbagathi Hospital has cast fresh doubt on the police account surrounding the death of Albert Ojwang, a teacher and social media influencer who died in police custody.
Contrary to earlier police statements, the report states that Ojwang was already dead when he arrived at the hospital.
“Ojwang’s body was brought in at exactly 2:00am on Sunday. He showed no signs of life,” the report reads.
This revelation sharply contradicts the version shared by Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja, who earlier claimed that officers rushed Ojwang to the hospital at 1:39am for urgent medical attention.
Gruesome Injuries Point to Brutal Beating
The Mbagathi report details horrifying injuries on Ojwang’s body. His face was swollen, his limbs were bruised, and he was bleeding from the mouth, eyes, and the back of his head.
“Blood was oozing from the back of his head, his mouth, and his eyes,” a nurse on duty reported.
“There was a deep cut on the parieto-occipital region,” the report added.

Timeline Discrepancies Raise Alarm
The police reported that Ojwang was taken to hospital at 1:39am.
However, Mbagathi’s logbook shows the body arrived at 2:00am, raising major concerns over a missing 21 minutes in police custody.
This discrepancy is now central to growing suspicions of a cover-up by those tasked with Ojwang’s safety while in custody.
Public Anger Explodes
As a result of the grim revelations, outrage has swept across the country.
On Thursday, June 13, hundreds of youth brought Nairobi’s CBD to a standstill, demanding accountability and justice.

The protests, sparked by Ojwang’s death, turned chaotic as demonstrators blocked roads, waved placards, and chanted his name.
More Questions Than Answers
The Mbagathi report adds a troubling new layer to a case already marred by CCTV tampering, contradictory booking records, and silence from key officers.

Kenyans continue to demand transparency, with many now calling for an independent inquest into what truly happened between the time of arrest and Ojwang’s arrival at Mbagathi.
