Dutchman to Be Deported After Abusing Police Officers in Diani

A Dutch national who was caught on video verbally abusing police officers at Diani Police Station will be deported. The shocking incident, which unfolded just 48 hours after his arrest, has sparked outrage across Kenya.

“He Assaulted a Kenyan Woman” — Police Respond Swiftly

The drama began on October 28 when the suspect allegedly assaulted his Kenyan girlfriend and vandalized a guesthouse along Beach Road in Diani. The cottage management immediately alerted police.

“One of our guests was causing a disturbance. We called the authorities,” a staff member confirmed.

Led by the Officer Commanding Station (OCS), police rushed to the scene, located five kilometers from Diani Police Station.

“We found the suspect subdued by security guards. The woman was rescued and taken to Diani Beach Hospital,” a police report stated.

“He Refused to Cooperate” — Officers Persuade Him to Surrender

Before his arrest, the Dutchman locked himself inside his room. Officers spent several tense minutes persuading him to surrender.

“He was uncooperative and appeared intoxicated,” an officer revealed.

A search of the room uncovered a white substance suspected to be a narcotic drug.

“He Abused Officers at the Station” — Viral Video Sparks Outrage

After being escorted to Diani Police Station, the suspect’s behavior worsened. A video surfaced showing him hurling insults, making obscene gestures, and threatening officers.

“He was aggressive and disrespectful. Our officers showed restraint,” the station’s spokesperson said.

The footage quickly went viral, prompting calls for immediate action.

“He Will Be Deported” — Authorities Take Decisive Action

Following the incident, authorities confirmed the Dutchman will be deported. The decision was made to uphold public safety and respect for law enforcement.

“We cannot tolerate such behavior. He will be deported,” a senior immigration official stated.

The suspect was transported to the airport under tight security.

“I Had a Psychosis Episode” — Suspect Blames Medical Condition

Before leaving, the Dutchman briefly addressed the media. He apologized but blamed his actions on a medical issue.

“I had a psychosis episode. I need my medicine. I had not had water and food for a long time,” he said.

His statement, however, did little to calm public anger.

“Respect Our Officers” — Kenyans Demand Accountability

Many Kenyans expressed support for the officers and condemned the suspect’s behavior.

“Our police deserve respect. Deportation is the right move,” one resident said.

“No one should abuse our law enforcers, regardless of nationality,” another added.

As the suspect leaves Kenya, the incident serves as a reminder of the importance of dignity, law, and swift justice
