She was struck by a Guardian Angel bus at around 11:00 pm while attempting to cross an intersection on the Nakuru-Nairobi Highway after attending a county meeting in Naivasha.
Nyandarua County Assembly Speaker Stephen Wachira Waiganjo confirmed the loss.
“She died on the spot after being hit by the Guardian bus,” Waiganjo stated somberly.
He further eulogised the leader as a fearless and selfless public servant.
“She led with courage, strength, and determination,” he said. “She was not afraid to speak up for what she believed was right and worked tirelessly to uplift the lives of the underserved in her community.”

Earlier in her career, she had served as the Youth Leader for the Democratic Party (DP) and Chairperson of NARC–Kenya in Nyandarua.
Her political footprint stretched far and wide, making her a household name in the region.
A Double Blow for the UDA Party
The tragic death of Wahito comes just days after UDA lost another MCA, Philip Ekuwam Lomuria, from Turkana County.
Lomuria, who was the Deputy Speaker of the Turkana County Assembly, died while receiving treatment in hospital under unclear circumstances.
In a statement, UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar paid tribute:
“Until his death, Lomuria… was a staunch and dedicated member of the UDA Party,” Omar said. “He exhibited zeal in undertaking his duties as a legislator at the County Assembly.”
The two back-to-back losses have left the UDA party and Kenyans in shock. Colleagues, constituents, and citizens have flooded social media with tributes and calls for road safety reforms.
