PSC Announces Over 400 Jobs with June 26 Deadline; How to Apply
In a notice issued on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, the Commission said the vacancies target both senior and mid-level professionals, particularly under its promotional positions category, as part of efforts to strengthen service delivery across key sectors of government.
The positions cut across several ministries, including the Ministry of Interior, National Treasury, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development, Agriculture, Livestock, Gender, and Information, Communication and Technology (ICT).

The Correctional Services department has also advertised several high-level positions, particularly in probation services, with multiple vacancies for Deputy Director of Probation aimed at enhancing rehabilitation and reintegration programmes within the justice system.
Similarly, the Public Works department is recruiting professionals in electrical, structural, and mechanical engineering, as well as building inspection and safety—positions that are expected to bolster ongoing national infrastructure projects.
In the Housing and Urban Development sector, the Commission is looking to fill senior technical roles such as Chief Superintending Architect and Chief Superintending Engineer, alongside Assistant Director positions in urban planning and housing development. These roles are aligned with the government’s broader agenda on affordable housing and sustainable urban growth.

The Agriculture and Livestock sectors have also featured prominently in the recruitment drive, with vacancies for Director-level and technical positions in veterinary services, livestock policy, and animal health. These roles are expected to support food security initiatives and strengthen agricultural productivity across the country.
Meanwhile, the Gender and Affirmative Action sector is seeking Deputy and Assistant Directors to reinforce inclusion policies and programmes targeting vulnerable and marginalised groups.
In the ICT sector, several director-level positions have been advertised under the Broadcasting and Telecommunications department, including Director roles in Information, Public Communications, and Telecommunications. These positions are aimed at advancing digital transformation and improving communication infrastructure nationwide.
In its official notice, PSC stated, “The Commission invites applications from qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions in the public service.” The recruitment is part of ongoing efforts to build a competent and professional workforce within government institutions.
The Commission further warned, “Applicants must ensure that all information provided is accurate, as submission of fake documents or certificates will lead to disqualification and possible legal action.”
PSC has set the application deadline for June 26, 2026, urging prospective candidates to apply early to avoid last-minute technical challenges.

The recruitment drive is expected to attract significant interest from job seekers across the country, particularly in the current economic climate where public sector opportunities remain highly competitive.
As the deadline approaches, attention will be on how the Commission manages the process to ensure transparency, merit-based selection, and equal opportunity for all applicants.
