“We, the leadership and congregation of the Ministry of Repentance and Holiness, strongly denounce the recent spread of false and misleading information about the world ending on August 2, 2025,” read part of the statement signed by Senior Archbishop Michael Nieswand.
Prophet David Ouwor preaching at a past rally in Nakuru County.
The church minced no words, calling the claims “false, baseless, and malicious,” clearly aimed at damaging both the prophet’s name and the church’s reputation.
“These claims are false, baseless, malicious, and intended to harm not only the reputation of the Prophet of the Lord, David Owuor, and the Ministry of Repentance and Holiness, but also the unity and testimony of our church,” the church emphasized.
The church condemned not just the message but the method of its spread, taking aim at online content creators.
“As believers, we are called to pursue truth, peace, and righteousness. Let us not be quick to spread gossip, but instead be diligent in prayer, discernment, and unity,” it added.
The Ministry’s response came not only to preserve its image but also to reaffirm biblical truth. The statement urged media houses, bloggers, and citizens to verify facts before publishing, especially on such sensitive topics.
