KRA Announces Over 250 Job Opportunities for Kenyans

The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has unveiled over 250 new job opportunities for Kenyans, raising hope for many jobseekers. The announcement covers positions in graduate trainees, drivers, ICT specialists, and support officers.

Over 200 Graduate Trainee Slots

According to KRA, the majority of the opportunities are for graduates.

“We are looking to hire over 200 graduate trainees, 50 drivers, a data centre operations officer, a knowledge management officer, and a data integration personnel,” the Authority said in a notice released on Tuesday, August 19.

Additionally, KRA seeks a security tools operations officer, a business application support officer, and a revenue assurance officer.

The Authority explained that applicants must be self-driven, dynamic, results-oriented, and of high integrity.

Step-by-Step Application Guide

KRA outlined a clear online process for applicants. Interested candidates must visit kra.go.ke and head to the careers section.

“Once you click on ‘Register’, you will receive an email to confirm your account and complete your registration,” the notice stated.

After confirming, applicants should log into the KRA portal, open the ‘Applicant Cockpit’, and update their candidate profile.

“Kindly note that all mandatory fields must be completed before final submission,” KRA emphasized.

Applications must be submitted online before September 8, 2025. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Mandatory Clearance Requirements

KRA made it clear that successful applicants must present several clearance documents.

“Applicants must provide a valid certificate of good conduct from the DCI, a valid HELB clearance certificate, a valid tax compliance certificate from KRA, and a current CRB report,” the notice read.

These measures, the Authority explained, are part of its commitment to integrity and accountability in public service.

Equal Opportunity for All

KRA reassured Kenyans that the process will remain fair and inclusive.

“People with disabilities, the marginalised and the minorities are therefore encouraged to apply. KRA does not charge any application, processing, interviewing, or any other fee at any stage of the recruitment process,” the Authority added.

The announcement comes at a time when unemployment remains a major concern in the country. Many jobseekers have since expressed excitement online, with hopes that this opportunity could change their lives.
