PSC Announces 38 Security Jobs at Parliament Buildings—Here’s What You Need to Know

The Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC) has unveiled a golden opportunity for Kenyans with a uniformed service background. In a statement released on Monday, the PSC declared 38 vacant positions for Security Wardens to safeguard Parliament Buildings and its surrounding areas.

The deadline for submitting applications is July 15, 2025.

What You’ll Be Doing

According to the official notice, the new wardens will carry the crucial responsibility of keeping Parliament secure.

“The selected officers will operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, underbelly cameras, bomb detectors, and CCTV monitors,” the PSC stated.

Additionally, their duties will include screening vehicles and individuals accessing the premises.

“They will screen, vet, direct, and clear all visitors to ensure only authorized persons gain entry,” the commission emphasized.

Control over vehicle and pedestrian movement at the gates is also part of their role.

Moreover, the officers will be tasked with maintaining vital security records.

“All officers must update the Occurrence Book and record all relevant security events for investigative use,” read part of the statement.

Who Can Apply?

To qualify, applicants must meet specific criteria.

“Candidates must have scored at least a D+ in KCSE and served in a uniformed service for a minimum of three years,” PSC outlined.

They must also have completed parliamentary training in any recognized uniformed service.

“Direct appointments will only be granted to those who’ve undergone training tailored for parliamentary service,” the commission clarified.

How to Apply

All interested applicants must fill out the official PSC Job Application Form.

Alongside the form, candidates are required to attach a cover letter, testimonials, and academic credentials.

Applicants may email their documents or physically deliver them to the Office of the Head of the Commission Secretariat at Parliament Buildings.

Hurry—Don’t Miss Out!

With Parliament tightening its security framework, this is a rare opportunity for uniformed professionals to serve the nation in one of its most sensitive institutions.

“We urge all qualified Kenyans to take this chance and apply before the deadline,” the statement concluded.
