What Does Kenya Power Maintain?
Kenya Power technicians conduct routine line maintenance, including replacing transformers, upgrading transmission lines, and installing new infrastructure. These tasks often require temporary power shutdowns for safety reasons. However, Kenya Power has also adopted live-line maintenance, allowing technicians to service power lines without interruptions.
The company continues integrating modern technologies, such as automation, to reduce the frequency of power disruptions. Despite these advancements, scheduled maintenance remains necessary to prevent major failures and improve efficiency.
What Next for Affected Residents?
Kenya Power advises customers in affected areas to plan accordingly and use alternative power sources where possible. The company has assured the public that services will resume immediately after the scheduled maintenance.
