Kindiki to Ruto: “We’re Fully Behind You”

Vihiga County, Kenya – Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has assured President William Ruto of unwavering support from himself and other leaders in the Kenya Kwanza government. Speaking on Wednesday in Luanda, Vihiga County, Kindiki emphasized the administration’s commitment to transforming Kenya’s economy and improving the lives of ordinary citizens.

A Unified Government for All Kenyans

Kindiki highlighted the government’s development-focused agenda, which aims to serve all Kenyans equally. He dismissed tribal and divisive politics, stating,

“For those keen on dividing Kenyans, we are telling them we are not interested in tribal and divisive engagements. The President is focused on enhancing agriculture, livestock, fishing, mining, and other sectors, including boosting the economy to ensure our youths are employed.Together with Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, and other leaders, Kindiki expressed confidence in Ruto’s leadership.

Transforming Lives Through Development

The Deputy President showcased ongoing government efforts to create opportunities and raise incomes. He cited the construction of over 400 safe and modern markets across the country as a cornerstone of their agenda.

The President has said that his administration is concentrating on improving sectors that bring the highest benefits to the majority of Kenyans. These value chains are in agriculture, livestock, blue economy, fisheries, and mining,”

“One such market is the Luanda Modern Market in Vihiga County, costing Sh365 million. Once operational, it will accommodate over 1,000 traders. It will include cold rooms and storage facilities to prevent wastage of farm produce, enabling farmers and traders to fetch better prices,” Kindiki stated.

Focus on High-Impact Sectors

Kindiki emphasized the government’s priority areas, which include agriculture, livestock, fisheries, mining, and the blue economy. These sectors, he noted, have the potential to deliver the highest returns for the majority of Kenyans.

“The President has said that his administration is concentrating on improving sectors that bring the highest benefits to the majority of Kenyans. These value chains are in agriculture, livestock, blue economy, fisheries, and mining,” he added.

The Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda

The DP elaborated on Ruto’s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda, which prioritizes grassroots development to uplift Kenyans from poverty. This approach, he explained, focuses on enhancing agricultural productivity, increasing mining yields, and maximizing the potential of fisheries and the blue economy.

“This is why the President has launched projects that ensure rice farmers and other agricultural producers earn more,” Kindiki noted. “The government is intensifying efforts in agriculture, mining, and fishing to improve yields and increase earnings for all Kenyans.”

Vision for a Prosperous Kenya

With the government’s unwavering focus on development and the unity of its leadership, Kindiki assured Kenyans that transformative change is achievable. “We are solidly behind the President as he leads in developing every part of our country,” he concluded.
