Kasarani: 2 Men Posing as Beautiful Women Offering Massages Arrested after Conning Client KSh 280k
A Nairobi man looking for a soothing massage session was instead dragged into a chilling nightmare.
On Thursday, April 17, detectives from Kasarani Police Station arrested two men who orchestrated a well-planned online scam.
Alex Mugo Wachira and Simon Chomba Mbogo allegedly posed as seductive women online, advertising “professional massage services.”
But their intent, according to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), was far from therapeutic.
False Beauty, Real Danger
“These two have been pulling off an online con by posing as stunning females offering professional massage,” DCI stated.
“But instead of a relaxing massage, victims are met with a not-so-soothing surprise,” the agency added.
The suspects targeted unsuspecting men with tempting online ads, promising top-tier massages. However, the sessions ended in robbery and trauma

The Attack on Lumumba Drive
One victim, captivated by images of two attractive women, responded to one such ad.
He arrived at a supposed spa residence on Lumumba Drive, hopeful for a peaceful experience.
Yet, everything quickly spiraled.
“The two whipped out knives, revealing their true identities and zero massage knowledge,” DCI revealed.
Under intense fear, the man was forced to send KSh 280,000 to the suspects.
They also snatched his valuables before shoving him out of the house.
Swift Justice for Cruel Deceit
The man, shaken but determined, rushed to report the incident at Kasarani Police Station.
Detectives, using forensic leads, tracked the suspects to the Kamiti Prison area.
They were found enjoying themselves, possibly spending the stolen money.
Their arrest brought hope and justice to the traumatised victim.
A Growing Threat
This horrifying ordeal highlights the growing danger of digital deception.
Many Kenyans now fall victim to scams disguised as service offers.
Authorities are urging the public to be cautious, verify contacts, and avoid meeting strangers in isolated places.
Final Warning from DCI
The DCI concluded:
“What seemed like a sweet escape turned into a savage ordeal. Let this be a lesson to all.”
