Horror in Ndhiwa: Man Arrested for Forcing Daughter to Drink Petrol to Death

Police in Ndhiwa have arrested a 38-year-old man for allegedly killing his seven-year-old daughter. Reports indicate he forced her to drink one liter of petrol.

Man Arrested for Forcing Daughter to Drink Petrolin Minyere village, South Kanyikela Sublocation.

Suspect Surrenders to Police

Ndhiwa Police Commander John Losia confirmed the arrest. He said officers detained the man at Homa Bay Police Station after he turned himself in.

“The man claimed he killed his child in the Kanyikela area near Sukari Industry. We’re detaining him as investigations continue,” Losia stated.

Losia sent officers to Homa Bay, and after confirming his identity, they transferred him to Ndhiwa Police Station.

“We have confirmed he is the father of the deceased. He is now in custody and will be taken to court,” Losia added.

The Child’s Final Moments

According to area assistant chief Javana Abuto, the Grade 2 pupil resisted drinking the petrol, but her father allegedly forced her.

“We got a report that the girl was assaulted after refusing to drink the petrol. The man ensured she drank it,” Abuto revealed.

On Tuesday morning, neighbors discovered the child’s decomposing body inside their home. A bottle of petrol lay next to her lifeless body, suggesting she was poisoned.

Authorities transported the body to Manyatta Kobodo Mortuary as investigations intensified.

Family Conflict Suspected

The tragic incident is suspected to have been triggered by domestic conflicts. The assistant chief confirmed that the suspect and his wife had separated three months ago.

“The couple had differences before parting ways. The father remained with the children,” Abuto explained.

Losia urged parents to keep their conflicts away from children.

“Let parents avoid dragging children into their differences,” he pleaded.

The case has left residents in shock, with many calling for swift justice for the innocent child.
