“We were going on with our program when the goons came in… they started beating us, robbing us, and even broke vehicles.”
The attackers damaged several cars, including smashing the rear screen of Biketi’s vehicle. Two female models suffered minor injuries and lost their phones in the scuffle.
No Political Links, Just Empowerment
While rumors swirled about political motives behind the attack, Biketi strongly refuted them. She clarified that her foundation has no ties to any political party.
“We are not in any political party; we just want to help each other. We are empowering women, youths, and the vulnerable,” she insisted.

Organizers Demand Justice
Event coordinators didn’t hold back either. Peninah Makambi, a key figure in the foundation, condemned the attack as “barbaric.”
“We demand an immediate and thorough investigation, and all those involved must be brought to justice,” Makambi said passionately.
The organizers also called on youth to resist being used as tools by divisive political actors. They urged leaders to take responsibility and protect citizens working to uplift communities.
Biketi Whisked Away to Safety
As chaos intensified, Biketi was quickly escorted out of the venue by her security team. Fortunately, she remained unharmed. The event, however, ended prematurely, leaving many shocked and disappointed.
“I have a girlfriend, and my wives know her; they have no problem with it. We live peacefully and harmoniously,” Oparanya told Art of Living in July 2024.
