Initial reports had suggested that 12 people were onboard. However, the airline clarified the discrepancy and confirmed the accurate count.

In response to the tragedy, the airline has shifted its focus to supporting grieving families. A Family Assistance Team has been activated to offer counseling, logistical help, and other services.

The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) confirmed that multiple government agencies are at the crash site. Their mission is to determine the cause and assess the impact.
