Tragic End: Form 4 Leaver Found Dead at Alleged Lover’s Home After Birthday Celebration
A birthday meant for joy ended in tragedy when Faith Momanyi, a recent Form Four graduate, was found dead at her alleged lover’s home in Nairobi. The promising young woman, who had scored a B in her KCSE exams, had been celebrating her birthday on Thursday, March 6, before her untimely death.
The Events Leading to the Tragedy
Momanyi left home to meet friends at an entertainment venue along Lang’ata Road. After celebrating with them, her friends headed home, but she chose to go with another friend to a male companion’s house.
“When we got here, the man said he was going to bed early since he had work the next morning. We assured him we would be okay,” recalled Momanyi’s friend.
Morning Brings a Shocking Discovery
The following morning, Momanyi’s friend tried reaching her but got no response. Hours later, around 5 p.m., the man returned from work and found the bedroom door locked from inside. Upon forcing it open, he was met with a horrifying sight—Momanyi’s lifeless body lay on the bed.
Panicked, he called her father, who rushed to the scene. Overcome with grief, he fainted at the sight of his daughter’s lifeless body.
The Cause of Death Confirmed
Authorities were called, and the body was taken for an autopsy. The medical report confirmed that Momanyi died due to suffocation. Investigators have since arrested her alleged lover to assist with the case.
A Father’s Heartbreak
Momanyi’s father, Atisa, struggled to contain his pain. The loss of his daughter, whom he had worked so hard to educate, was unbearable.
“She was my hope. I have struggled to educate her, but she has now left us,” he lamented.
Momanyi had been preparing to join university, eager to start the next chapter of her life. Sadly, she never got the chance.

Authorities continue probing the circumstances surrounding her death. Meanwhile, family and friends mourn the sudden and tragic loss of a young woman full of dreams and potential.
