Ruto Downplays Claims of Courting Kalonzo Musyoka to Join Broad-Based Government

President William Ruto has dismissed claims that he is courting Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to join his administration, insisting that his focus remains on development rather than political maneuvering.

Speaking during a media engagement on Thursday, November 13, the Head of State downplayed speculation that he was seeking to bring Kalonzo and Democratic Action Party–Kenya (DAP–K) leader Eugene Wamalwa into a broad‑based government.

“As to matters regarding the relationship between political parties, those are discussions that are just politics. I am not here to discuss matters of politics,” Ruto stated.

Focus on Development

The President emphasized that his priority is delivering on development projects for Kenyans, particularly in Ukambani, where he pledged to accelerate infrastructure and service delivery. He reiterated that political discussions would only be entertained at the appropriate time.
