They advised the public to verify all appeals for donations, particularly those purporting to be on behalf of professional bodies.

Calling on international agencies to act, Njeri reminded them that they had once supported the development of the same court facility now being used to jail innocent youth.
“Over 100 Gen Zs are still locked up despite having been granted bail. Most were arrested randomly—walking home, hanging with friends, or hustling,” she stated.
