Kawira Mwangaza’s Husband Baichu Calls Out President Ruto for Betrayal: “Umedanganywa”

Murega Baichu, husband to impeached Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza, has publicly accused President William Ruto of abandoning his wife. In an emotional video shared on social media, Baichu expressed his frustration, claiming Ruto could have prevented the impeachment but chose not to.

“You Have Been Lied To!”

Baichu alleged that Meru MCAs and MPs misled the president into believing false accusations against Mwangaza. He insisted his wife had done nothing wrong to warrant such political hostility.

“You have been lied to by MCAs and MPs who have been fighting Mama (Mwangaza) for no reason. Mama does not interfere with their agendas, yet they claim she is the problem,” he lamented.

Baichu questioned why his wife faced betrayal despite her dedication to serving the people of Meru. He wondered what debt she owed MPs or what wrong she had done to deserve impeachment.

“Ruto Listens to MPs, Not the People of Meru”

The musician further accused the president of prioritizing the opinions of MPs over the voices of ordinary Meru residents. He insisted that if Ruto truly wanted to know the truth, he should engage with the local people instead of relying on political figures with hidden agendas.

Despite feeling abandoned, Baichu maintained that he and Mwangaza still respect Ruto and his deputy. However, he placed their fate in God’s hands.

“Mungu tu ndiye mkubwa wetu, sisi hatuna kwengine pa kukimbilia. Governor Mwangaza hana kwengine pa kukimbilia. Wananchi wa Meru hawana kwengine pa kukimbilia isipokuwa kwa Mola Mungu,” he said.

Baichu’s emotional plea sparked widespread reactions online. Some Kenyans sympathized with him, while others dismissed his claims as misplaced frustration.
