On Monday, July 8, the committee announced a vetting exercise for all foreign nationals residing in Kapenguria, Makutano, Bendera, and surrounding areas.
“We respect the spirit of East African cooperation; we have free movement for our people,” a senior committee member told the press. “However, all suspects are from Uganda, and therefore, we’re taking these stern measures to establish their stay here and the activities they are involved in.”
“The prime suspects who have confessed to killing and eating their corpses were living along a road reserve within Bandera,” the official stated. “Today I’ve directed this road reserve to be reclaimed, and we’re going to flatten all those structures they were living in by close of business.”

“We have reports of several missing children, and uniforms have already been recovered,” a community elder said. “The fear is real. People want justice and protection.”

“We must act with urgency but also uphold the law,” a county officer insisted. “We ask residents to cooperate with the authorities for thorough investigations.”
