Meet Kenya’s Youngest PS Fikirini Jacobs: 28-Year-Old PS Outlines His Priorities after Taking Oath of Office
At only 28 years old, Fikirini Jacobs is now Kenya’s Principal Secretary for Youth Affairs and Creative Economy. Yet, his age isn’t slowing him down. Instead, it’s fuelling a bold new vision to uplift millions of Kenyan youth.
Just hours after attending the wedding of popular content creator Presenter Kai in Kilifi, Fikirini shared his immediate priorities—and they’re all youth-centered.
Building a Creative Bridge Between Dreams and Income
“We will create a platform to support our youth,” Fikirini declared. “And the first step is bringing them on board.”
With clarity and passion, he emphasized collaboration between seasoned creators like Kai and rising talents across the country. His goal is to ensure that Kenya’s youth not only create but also earn from their digital skills.
Fikirini explained, “We want upcoming creators to learn sustainability—so their ideas don’t just fade away after going viral once.”
Saluting Presenter Kai: A Role Model for Creators
Fikirini praised Presenter Kai, whose influence continues to soar with over 3 million TikTok followers and 1.4 million on Facebook.

“In my opinion, Kai is among the most successful creators. He took an idea from his brain and turned it into income,” said the PS with admiration.
He urged other creators to learn from Kai’s discipline, creativity, and commitment to quality content.
Kenyan Youth Have the Talent—Now They Need Support
Fikirini stressed that Kenya’s youth are bursting with talent and creativity.
“Many of our young people already have content,” he explained. “The missing link is turning that content into money.”
According to him, most creators struggle to move ideas from inspiration to monetization. That’s the gap he intends to close—with real platforms, mentorship, and support.
Teamwork to Tackle Unemployment
To make this dream a reality, Fikirini plans to work with key figures in the digital economy. This includes digital strategist Dennis Itumbi and other leaders in Kenya’s growing creative industry.
His mission? To change the story for millions of jobless youth by turning their talents into thriving businesses.
