Embu North Police Commander Benjamin Kiprono confirmed the tragedy and revealed the likely cause of the crash. “The car lost control and veered off the road, hitting a garage. It burst into flames, consuming both the vehicle and its occupants,” Kiprono explained.

Kiprono blamed over-speeding for the horrific accident and urged drivers to follow traffic rules. “Motorists must observe speed limits and prioritize caution to avoid such tragic incidents,” he warned.

Residents applauded the quick action of the fire brigade. Bernard Kinyua, chairman of Manyatta town, described the harrowing scene. “The fire brigade acted quickly to contain the blaze. However, we urgently need more fire engines to handle emergencies like this effectively,” Kinyua urged.
