In an interview with France 24, Ruto clarified Kenya’s stance, insisting his administration does not support either the RSF or the Sudanese Army.
“Kenya’s position is that the two generals are cut from the same cloth,” Ruto stated. “We don’t believe one is better than the other,” he added.

He emphasized that Kenya’s only interest is peace and stability in the region.
“We must force the two generals to a ceasefire,” Ruto said. “But there are rumours and propaganda about Kenya, Egypt, and even the UAE,” he noted.
“The reason Kenya is being accused is that we offered a dialogue platform,” he said.
He further revealed that Kenya’s peace-first approach has gained support from global powers.
“I’m happy that our position was accepted by the US, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt,” Ruto affirmed. “They all agreed there are no sides here,” he added.
