Man Killed in Brutal Fight Over Another Man’s Wife in Migori
A tragic love triangle in North East Kadem, Nyatike sub-county, Migori County, has ended in bloodshed after a 37-year-old man was killed in a violent confrontation. The deadly altercation involved two men entangled in a secret affair with the same married woman.
Violent Clash at Woman’s House
The incident unfolded on Sunday, March 31, when Kevin Ouma, the deceased, engaged in a brutal fight with another man, Johnson Ochieng, at the woman’s residence. According to area chief Voshastar Akal, Ouma succumbed to deep panga wounds, while Ochieng was left with severe injuries and is currently receiving treatment at Migori Level Four Hospital.
Preliminary reports suggest that Ouma had arranged to meet the woman at her house on the night of the fatal encounter. However, the situation escalated when Ochieng arrived unexpectedly, leading to a heated altercation.
Family Retaliation and Woman’s Disappearance
Following the tragic incident, Ouma’s family allegedly stormed the woman’s house and set it ablaze in retaliation. The 35-year-old woman, who is legally married but whose husband works outside Migori County, has since gone into hiding with her children, fearing for their safety.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the case, with police handling the matter to establish further details. Meanwhile, Ouma’s body has been transferred to Migori Level Four Hospital, awaiting a postmortem examination as part of the ongoing probe.
