Mercy, a Third-Year Economics student, was last seen at Koja, Nairobi CBD, at 11:30 pm. Reports indicate she blacked out after consuming alcohol at a city hotel. One of her friends then arranged for a cab to take her home. However, she never made it.
Her devastated mother believes she may have been drugged that night. “She was the only one who lost consciousness. Something doesn’t add up,” she said.
Shocking Discovery at the Morgue
Days after her disappearance, Mercy’s family found her at the City Mortuary. Her cousin, Daniel Karanja, revealed disturbing details about her death.
“We found her at City Mortuary. She was involved in an accident at the carwash area along Thika Road. She was in a Bolt bike, but the guy left her at TRM. We still don’t know whether she was walking on the highway before being hit,” he explained.
