Raila Dispatches Kasmuel to Represent ODM at European Parliament in Brussels
ODM Youth League leader Kasmuel McOure has officially arrived in Brussels to represent the Orange Democratic Movement at the European Parliament. His trip marks a major milestone for the party’s youth wing and signals ODM’s growing international presence.
“I have just arrived in Brussels to represent the ODM party at the European Parliament and other key institutions,” Kasmuel announced on X.
He credited the opportunity to the European Union in Kenya and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
“This opportunity comes courtesy of the European Union in Kenya and H.E. Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga,” he wrote. “He has always reminded us that excellence must be pursued relentlessly and without excuse.”
A Mission to Learn and Lead
Kasmuel expressed excitement about engaging with global leaders. He believes the experience will help him strengthen ODM’s vision and strategy.

“I look forward to engaging with world leaders, learning best practices, and bringing these insights back home,” he said. “I want to strengthen our mighty party.”
His visit comes just three months after another major achievement. In June, Kasmuel joined 40 other Kenyan youths in the prestigious Mandela Washington Fellowship (MWF) in the United States.
Mandela Fellowship Shaped His Path
The six-week MWF program, hosted by 26 top U.S. institutions, focused on leadership, civic engagement, and public management. It brought together 650 young African leaders from diverse fields.
“From journalists and novelists to scientists and entrepreneurs, the newest Mandela Washington Fellows showcase Kenya’s exceptional talent,” the U.S. Embassy stated.
“They hail from Turkana, Kisii, Laikipia, Nairobi, Isiolo, Mombasa, Kiambu, and more,” the embassy added. “All share a passion for building stronger communities.”
Kasmuel’s selection highlighted his leadership potential and commitment to public service. Now, his journey continues in Brussels.
ODM’s Global Footprint Expands
This latest development reflects ODM’s efforts to build international networks. By sending young leaders abroad, the party aims to gain fresh perspectives and global partnerships.
Kasmuel’s presence in Brussels is not just symbolic—it’s strategic. It shows ODM’s readiness to engage with global institutions and shape future policy.

“This is not just a trip. It’s a mission to elevate our party and our country,” Kasmuel emphasized.
